“Sammy and Sofa” started as a small puppet show Jim Napolitano and I would perform together at Puppet Slams. We did the show in bars and clubs all over. Heather Henson approached me about being in the first round of Handmade Puppet Dreams. We didn’t have much time before the date the studio was available, so we decided to use Sammy and Sofa because the puppets were already built.
It was selected to be shown at the 2006 Newport Beach Film Festival. It still is shown with the always touring Handmade Puppet Dreams.
